Just a few paragraphs about my recent racing from the last 2 rounds with NG Road Racing.

Starting at round 4 Pembrey I found this a tough one as I wasn't sure if I was mentally ready to ride, and so I decided with the team to go for the test day and decide Friday night if I was ready to race.

On Friday morning my head wasn't in the right space and I didn't ride to my usual standard so I had a brief word with myself and pulled my finger out in the afternoon sessions lapping just shy of my pb on used tyres.

We decided to race as my lap times were good and I felt ready.

I had some great battles through all 3 races over the weekend finishing 7th, 6th, and 4th in the final race with a new pb of 1.01.6 - nearly 2 seconds faster than last year.

Round 5 was at Castle Coombe, a circuit I haven't had much luck at over the years with bike trouble.

This year the bike was spot on and I felt good from the moment I left pit lane - Friday morning lapping again just outside my pb from the previous year.

The racing was fast though the weekend and I had some good battles in 2 of the 3 races.

Unfortunately in race 3 I pushed too hard in the early laps and made a mistake, which meant I ended up on the floor for the 1st time this year - only a small crash and no real damage to me or the bike.

We came away with a 5th and a 3rd - my 1st podium on the R6 since I started riding it and another pb of 1.13.7, again nearly 2 seconds faster than the previous year.
